Mason Avenue North of Victory Boulevard - MTA plans to reconstruct a portion of Mason Avenue just north of Victory Boulevard, beginning April 26, 2004. Daytime work is expected to take place Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The work will last for approximately three to five months and will consist of excavating, grading and repaving the existing intersection and installing underground utilities, modifying pavement striping and the traffic signal systems, and constructing new curbs, gutters and crosswalks. Crews also will conduct nighttime construction between 7 p.m., April 26 and 7 a.m., April 27. Additional night work will be required. Local residents will receive advance notification.
Victory Boulevard North of Topham Street - Ongoing daytime work continues on Victory Boulevard just north of Topham Street. Nighttime work is planned between 7 p.m., April 28 and 7 a.m., April 29, and will consist of removal and repainting of lane striping to shift the traffic lanes to accommodate Metro Orange Line construction. The ongoing intersection reconstruction includes excavating, grading and repaving the existing intersection and installing underground utilities, modifying pavement striping and the traffic signal systems, and constructing new curbs, gutters and crosswalks.
