Tuesday April 27, 2010
The objective of the event is to explore strategies to increase travel options and create sustainable, healthy, livable communities.
Participants will learn the latest information on critical pedestrian planning issues such as funding, transportation, urban design, and community health and engage in an essential and pertinent dialogue about the future of our communities.
The panels will include area planners, public officials, transportation and health professionals, advocates, among others. The hope is to generate some good ideas that cities in Los Angeles County may want to pursue with help from Metro.
This event will take place in the board room from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Metro headquarters, One Gateway Plaza, downtown Los Angeles.
