Metro Bus service to be detoured in downtown Los Angeles due to memorial service for former LAPD Chief Darryl Gates

Metro Bus service will be detoured Tuesday, April 27, in downtown Los Angeles due to the memorial service for former Los Angeles Police Department Chief Darryl Gates to be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.

A procession will begin at 8:35 a.m. at the Police Administration Building, located at 100 West First Street and will proceed to the Cathedral at 555 West Temple St.

Forty three Metro bus lines in the Civic Center area will be detoured between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. when Metro Bus service will return to regular schedules.

Metro Buses impacted by the detours will include 2, 4, 10, 14, 30, 31, 33, 37, 40, 42, 45, 48, 55, 60, 68, 70, 71, 76, 78, 79, 81, 83, 84, 90, 91, 92, 94, 96, 333, 355, 439, 445, 485, 487, 489, 714, 728, 730, 740, 745, 770, 794 and 910.
