Traffic will be moved accordingly to schedule work with cones, concrete barriers and signs. Re-striping will take place for one night Thursday, March 22 only and then street renovation will take place on the north side of the street. Working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
Residents should expect intersection closures at Herbert and Rowan avenues and Third Street. Access to homes and business will be maintained; pedestrian traffic will re-routed according to the work schedule, and access to emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
The Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension, which will feature eight stations (two underground), will span six miles from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles via the Arts District/Little Tokyo and Boyle Heights to Atlantic/Pomona Boulevards in East Los Angeles. It is scheduled to open in late 2009.
