Metro staff is analyzing four sites for the development of a new maintenance facility, which will be used to store, maintain, repair, and clean light rail vehicles. The four sites are located in the cities of Los Angeles, Inglewood, Hawthorne and Redondo Beach. Metro staff will also update the community on an analysis of parklands and historic resources. The Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor is an 8.5 mile light rail line that will extend from the intersection of Exposition and Crenshaw Boulevards to the Metro Green Line's Aviation/LAX station. The project will serve the cities of Los Angeles, Inglewood, Hawthorne, and El Segundo and portions of the unincorporated Los Angeles County.
