Go Metro to the Altcar Expo October 2-3 and Be Entered into a Drawing for a Free Ipod
Car culture is a defining feature of Los Angeles - but times are changing, and so are the vehicles. From October 2-3 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, attendees of the 4th Annual Alternative Energy and Transportation Expo (AltCar) can view over one hundred alt-fuel and ultra-efficient vehicles including zero-emission electric cars, hybrids, Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles, scooters, Segways, electric motorcycles, bicycles and more.
Several of the vehicles also will be available for the public to test drive and purchase onsite. To further educate the community information will be provided on topics such as tax credits for going green, mass transit options, and maximizing gas mileage.
As an incentive to encourage visitors to use alternative modes of transportation to the event, Metro patrons who present a Metro pass, Metro Rail Ticket or Destination Discounts card at the front registration area will be entered into a special drawing to win an iPod.
