Fans of funk listen up! The second annual Long Beach Funk Festival is the culmination of the city’s summer-long free concert series Summer and Music (SAM). It’s scheduled to hit the streets of downtown Long Beach on Aug. 7 from 11a.m.-10p.m, delivering an exciting day of music, food and summer fun.

The Long Beach Funk Festival is bringing the country’s most respected funk legends, as well as today’s favorites, including artists such as Mandrill, The Ladies of P-Funk, the Original Stone City Band, The Meters’ Experience and many more. Last year’s event attracted more than 15,000 funk fans, and this second installment is sure to build upon that success.
