Go Metro to ‘KVEA Presents Fiestas Patrias California’ at Olvera Street September 12-13
Go Metro to the free KVEA Presents Fiestas Patrias California from September 12-13 at historic Olvera Street Plaza. As the city of Los Angeles' official Mexican Independence Day celebration, there will be musical performances, food booths, carnival rides, and exhibits. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The event will be kicked off by the Mexican Independence Day Parade.
Metro patrons who show a valid Metro pass, Metro Rail ticket or Destination Discounts card at the event information booth will get a free California Lottery ticket. Olvera Street Plaza is located in downtown Los Angeles at 845 N. Alameda Street. Metro makes getting there a breeze. Just take the Metro Red/Purple or Gold Line to Union Station.
