April 7: I-405 Freeway Drainage System Work Planned
As part of the pre-construction activities for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project, the Contractor is required to ensure that the drainage system along the freeway is clean and clear.
Beginning the night of Wednesday, April 7, 2010, Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) cameras will be used to document the existing conditions of the drainage system on the freeway and ramps. Drains will be cleaned and the grates will be welded down.
What: Freeway lane closures and ramp closures for the documentation and cleaning of drainage systems on the I-405 freeway.
When: Night time work will begin Wednesday, April 7, 2010, for approximately two weeks. This activity will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Where:#1 and #5 lanes along the San Diego Freeway (I-405) between the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) and the Ventura Freeway (I-101). CCTV work will be conducted in segments.
What to Expect:
- Detour signs will be posted where ramp closures occur.
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
- Construction schedules are dynamic and subject to change without notice.
