Go Expo for “BIG BIG Dinosaur Day” at Natural History Museum

Tuesday August 07, 2012

All aboard the Expo Line for the dinosaur train! Meet Buddy the T. Rex of The Jim Henson Company animated kids' show "Dinosaur Train" and celebrate "BIG BIG Dinosaur Day" on Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Natural History Museum. The museum is conveniently located next to the Metro Expo Line's Expo/Vermont Station. Go Metro and save on admission.

"BIG BIG Dinosaur Day" is an all-day event that promotes "Dinosaur Week" on PBS Kids and features fun, interactive activities for children of all ages to get them excited about paleontology. It starts at 9:30 a.m. and lasts until 3 p.m. Present a valid Metro pass or Metro Rail ticket at the museum box office to get $1.25 off general admission. Admission is free for children 4 and under.

Spend the day having a good time while learning about dinosaurs, catch the premiere of a "BIG BIG Dinosaurs" episode and explore the museum's new Dinosaur Hall. You'll also get a chance to see "Dinosaur Train" creator Craig Bartlett and his band perform songs from his show live.
