Los Angeles – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), the Gateway Cities Council of Governments, the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, and the Interstate 5 Joint Powers Authority have released the Draft EIR/EIS on the I-710 Corridor Project for a 60-day public review.
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), joined by city, county and state officials, today celebrated the completion of the Metro Orange Line Extension, a four-mile addition to the wildly popular dedicated busway that will enhance regional transit connections to and from the Western San Fernando Valley.
Stations on the Metro Orange Line Extension include 25 new artworks that enrich the transit environment and contribute to the artistic vibrancy of the neighborhoods served by Metro in the west San Fernando Valley.
LOS ANGELES - June 28, 2012 - The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Board of Directors today voted to approve a contract with Los Angeles-based Gruen Associates in association with Grimshaw Architects of London for the creation of a master plan for the historic Union Station and its surrounding 40 acres. The board authorized Metro Chief Executive Officer Art Leahy to execute a firm fixed price contract not to exceed $4,150,000.
