The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board of Directors today approved a $37.3 million contract to CH2MHill to examine a range of alternatives, prepare technical assessments and environmental and engineering studies about alternatives to close the gap between the 210 and 710 freeways. The studies are expected to be completed in the fall of 2014.
As the sixth anniversary of the popular Metro Orange Line approaches on October 29, work is well underway to extend the Valley's popular busway to Chatsworth to make important connections to the regional and statewide rail network.

November meeting of the Metro South Bay Service Council is being moved to Friday, November 18, 2011. This is being done because the previously scheduled date of the meeting fell on Veterans Day. The South Bay Service Council usually meets on the second Friday of each month at 9:30 am at Inglewood City Hall, 1 West Manchester Blvd., Inglewood. The Service Council meeting on November 18 will be held in the same location and begin at the same time as their normal monthly meetings.
Motorists traveling in the vicinity of Sepulveda Boulevard in the Westwood area are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time to reach their destinations beginning Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 for three months due to reduced lanes on Sepulveda Boulevard between Moraga Drive and Montana Avenue.
