Freeway, Street Closures Needed for Sunset Bridge Deck Pouring Aug. 23, 29, 31

The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project contractor plans to pour the deck for half of the new Sunset bridge, a construction activity that will require three nights of directional full freeway closures and full closures of Sepulveda and Sunset Boulevards between August 23 and 31, 2011.

Metro, LADOT and Caltrans Warn of Traffic Congestion on Mulholland Drive Bridge

With the end of summer approaching, The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) and Caltrans are now warning motorists about severe congestion and traffic delays expected for morning commute routes that include crossing over the Mulholland Drive Bridge in Los Angeles due to its reduced lane capacity.

Junta Directiva de Metro aprueba política de construcción ecológica

La Junta de Directores de la Autoridad de Transporte Metropolitano del Condado de Los Ángeles (Metro) aprobó hoy la política de construcción ecológica. La política requiere identificar y mitigar el impacto de las emisiones contaminantes en la salud del público, el medio ambiente, y el clima alrededor de los sitios de construcción y revisión de equipo que se utilice en los proyectos de construcción de Metro.

Metro converts weekly, monthly bus and rail passes to flexible passes good for consecutive days rather than calendar dates

Beginning Monday, Aug. 8, Metro customers can purchase Metro weekly, monthly passes any day of the week or month and go. The 7-day or 30-day time period begins the first day of use. The flexible 7-day or 30-day pass are good for 7 or 30 consecutive days starting the first day it is used, rather than for a specific calendar week or month.

Now you can buy a Metro Day Pass for $5 effective August 1

The Metro Day Pass for a cost of $5 is available at ticket vending machines and when boarding a Metro bus beginning August 1. Customers will be able to load $5 day passes onto their TAP cards at Metro customer service centers and other retail outlets that sell TAP beginning next Monday, Aug. 8.
