Los usuarios de la Línea Dorada del Metro están siendo afectados con demoras de hasta 20 minutos debido a reparaciones en el cableado de electricidad en el área de Highland Park. Cierre de Línea Azul del Metro en los dos próximos fines de semana desde estación Washington a 7th St/Metro Center por construcción de Línea Expo

Los pasajeros de la Línea Azul del Metro sufrirán retrasos de hasta 40 minutos por los próximos dos fines de semana a partir de esta noche, 24 de Septiembre, debido a la construcción de la línea Expo del tren ligero, la cual se conectará con la Línea Azul en el centro de Los Angeles. Autobuses Metro ofrecerán un servicio similar al de la ruta del tren durante las obras de construcción entre las estaciones Washington y 7th St/Metro Center.

Metro Red/Purple Line Trains To Operate on Reduced Speeds Due to Equipment Issues

Effective immediately all Metro Red and Purple Line trains traveling from Union Station to North Hollywood and Union Station to Wilshire/Western will operate on a 25 mile-per-hour speed limit due to unforeseen equipment issues. Patrons using the Metro Purple Line to Wilshire/Western can expect delays of 10 to 12 minutes. Patrons using the Metro Red Line to North Hollywood can expect service delays of 15 to 20 minutes until further notice.

Traffic Stoppers: 12th annual Diamond Awards showcase region’s corporate traffic-busting commuter programs

• Blue Diamond Award goes to the California Institute of Technology, celebrated for its robust bike-to-work program with 600 participants, and a wide array of services including rideshare, transit subsidies, telework, flextime and an organized vanpool service. The Rideshare program intends to open a folding bike loaner program on campus this year.
• UCLA Transportation wins a Diamond Award for the short film UCLA Bike-U-mentary, released May 18 of this year just in time for Bike-to-Work Day. With bike commuting being one of several “green” commute options available to UCLA students, staff and faculty, the UCLA Bike-U-mentary is in line with UCLA’s culture of sustainable practices across the campus community.
