Architect Martha Welborne Picked for Top Planning Post at Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Metro CEO Art Leahy announced May 21 the hiring of architect and urban planner Martha Welborne to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s top planning job. Welborne, a moving force in many forward projects in the Los Angeles region and the nation, will join Metro June 1 as Executive Director of Countywide Planning. In that capacity, she will play a key role in accelerating delivery of voter-approved projects funded by Measure R.

Metro Awarded $415,000 Energy Grant to Team with Electric Car Owners

Metro has received a $415,000 energy grant from the California Energy Commission to explore ways for making it easier for drivers of electric cars to charge their vehicles at Metro facilities with the expectation that these commuters would take Metro to work while their car batteries recharge.

Servicio de Línea Azul del Metro será afectado este fin de semana por construcción de Línea Expo

Los pasajeros de la Línea Azul del Metro sufrirán retrasos de hasta 40 minutos comenzando este Viernes 14 de Mayo por la noche debido a la construcción de la línea Expo del tren ligero, la cual se conectará con la Línea Azul en el centro de Los Angeles. Metro To Conduct Surveys, Bicycle Counts On L.A. County Rail System
