Metro’s community-based transit service sector governance councils will hold their monthly public meetings in October to discuss various transportation issues in their service sectors.
Please note that the Gateway Cities Service Sector Governance Council will not meet in October. In addition, the Westside/Central Service Sector meeting has been moved back one week to October 15, due to the Yom Kippur Holiday.

Metro construction crews will begin street reconstruction on Indiana and Lorena streets in Boyle Heights, Monday, September 29, as construction of the Metro Gold Line Eastside Extension continues.
Go Metro to the “We the People” festival on Saturday, September 27 at the Los Angeles State Historic Park located near Chinatown in downtwon Los Angeles. The festival is America's premiere entertainment & music festival for social consciousness and will feature musical bands throughout the day that include Les Claypool, the RZA and EPMD. Through at least Tuesday, Metro will continue offering a “bus bridge” for Metrolink riders traveling from Moorpark to Van Nuys. In the morning commuters will transfer to trains at the Van Nuys Metrolink Station for the trip to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.

Metro construction crews will do intermittent street closures to re-stripe Third Street between Atlantic Boulevard and Indiana Street, in East Los Angeles, beginning the week of September 15.
Go Metro to the third annual L.A. Weekly Detour Music Festival cultural happening in downtown Los Angeles. The event will cover six city blocks around City Hall on Saturday, October 4.

Metro offers a variety of transportation alternatives that patrons can use to visit the LA Memorial Coliseum for Saturday USC football home games.
Metro will hold a series of community meetings in late September as part of their Alternative Analysis Study (AA) for the Harbor Subdivision Transit Corridor. The study will examine potential transit service along the Metro-owned Harbor Subdivision.
Rail service on the Metro Blue Line will be impacted due to track maintenance activity on four of the next six weekend days. Trains will operate every 20 minutes instead of the normal 15 minutes in the mornings and 12 minutes in the afternoons.
