Archaeologists hired by the MTA have discovered the remnants of long forgotten "fast food" restaurants at the Universal City Metro Red Line station that were patronized by Universal Studios employees - possibly even movie stars - and area residents, during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
For the sixth consecutive year, free bus and train rides will be offered on MTA's Metro System on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
RE: DEATH OF REP. JULIAN DIXON
Tens of thousands of years ago, the climate of Los Angeles was much cooler and wetter than it is today and its landscape teemed with ground sloths, horses, elephants and camels, a virtual kingdom of prehistoric creatures. There were even redwood trees.
MTA's first Technology and Innovation Forum will showcase new and exciting technologies that are now emerging, including state-of-the-art electronic devices and computer programs as well as an array of electric vehicles that include electric and hybrid cars, scooters and bicycles.
The MTA and North Hollywood community members announced plans today to address the need for additional parking for patrons of the Metro Red Line North Hollywood Station and the community's desire to preserve a historic train depot.
