When the Metro Orange Line opens Oct. 29, more than 20 bus lines will connect to 13 stations on the line, providing commuters with convenient access to the San Fernando Valley’s new transitway.
In addition, the Metro San Fernando Valley Service Sector will implement route modifications on Metro Bus Lines 156 and 167 as well as minor schedule adjustments on Metro Bus Lines 90-91, 92, 94-394, 165, 169, 233, 183-234 and 750 effective Sunday, Oct. 30.
Route modifications to Metro Bus Line 156 (Panorama City/Hollywood/Los Angeles) include relocating the northern terminal from Roscoe Blvd. and Parthenia Street to Oxnard Street and Van Nuys Blvd. The southern terminal will be relocated from New Hampshire and Monroe to Highland Avenue and Santa Monica Blvd. During day time hours, trips formerly operated by Line 156 along Van Nuys Blvd. between Oxnard Street and Roscoe Blvds will be converted to Line 233. These trips will continue to operate along Van Nuys Blvd. Line 156 late night bus service along Van Nuys Blvd, Highland Avenue, Santa Monica Blvd. and the Hollywood 101 Freeway to downtown Los Angeles will remain in place.
Modifications to Metro Bus Line 167 (Plummer St./Coldwater Canyon Ave.) consists of rerouting the southern portion of the line to serve the Valley College Metro Orange Line Station.
