Go Metro to work, shopping, schools or entertainment all over Los Angeles County with our official iPhone app. Whether you're a first time rider and would like to find out how to get started or if you travel frequently and need to plan your trip out on the town, use this app to find all of the convenient ways to get there when you Go Metro.
What's new in Version 2.2
- Mode specific icons for Bus and Rail
Now when you click the Nearby feature, you’ll see separate graphic icons denoting Bus Stops vs Rail Stations.
- “Refresh” arrival times for Bus Stops
Let’s say you’ve favorited your most used Bus Stops (by clicking the Start button in the toolbar). Now by clicking the ‘Refresh’ button, revised Nextrip arrivals times will display on command.
- Station amenities for Rail Stations
There is a new button in the Rail Stations screens that will display detailed information about a station, including the number of bike lockers, bike racks, free parking spots and paid parking spots.
- Save a Trip Planner itinerary and view offline
Now when you save an itinerary, you’ve saved it offline onto the device and may view it without internet connection. This is useful if you are traveling in our Rail system or when internet connection has dropped.
- User Interface updates for all versions
Small user interface updates to make the app more pretty and consistent in the News and More screen
- When installing the app, Android customers can choose to save the app on a SD Card rather than the device (Andorid only)

Building upon Version 1, the new app is built from the ground-up for recent versions of iPhone, iPad (iOS 3.1), and Android (Android OS 2.1). Now with online and offline features!
Location Aware: get stations / stops nearest you
Allow the application to access your GPS location and get the closest Bus stops and Rail stations within walking distance. You can even change the maximum walking distance in the Preferences.
Bus Arrival Info: receive Nextrip bus arrivals
Metro's Nextrip bus arrival info is integrated into Go Metro V2 - if your device has network access, Nextrip info will appear. If you have no network access, scheduled information will appear.
Note: Scheduled information is only available for Rail, we anticipate Nextrip Rail arrivals late 2012.
Trip Plan: plan a trip from your location
Metro's Trip Planner is integrated into Go Metro V2 - plan trips from your current location (or vise versa) and also Favorite an itinerary.
Maps: download up to 170 maps to use offline
Metro's system, line, station, airport, and bike maps are available for download. If your downloaded map has been updated by Metro, the app will send you an alert - simply update (re-download) the map within the application.
Notifications: get alerts on Bus, Rail, and road closures
Service alerts, planned advisories, and news blogs are integrated in the app; get notified of daily alerts - or not - you decide. Alerts and notifications may be turned on and off the Preferences. Also check here for latest agency news and destination discounts.
Favorites: save a line, stop/station, map, or itinerary for fast access
Save time by bookmarking any number of items for easy and fast access - your most used lines, stop, stations, maps, or even news feed. You can remove and edit your Favorites list at any time in the Settings.
Preferences, Feedback & Support: customize the app for you
You can set application options such as maximum walking distance, alerts and notifications, and news feeds. Basic Metro information is also integrated in the app: Fares, Help & Contacts, Customer Center locations, and Lost & Found info.

Note: The 'Report a Bug' email will collect your device and OS version for troubleshooting.
