Southern California Transit Forum: Seeking Solutions for the Transit Funding Crisis

The upcoming Southern California Transit Summit will offer transit agency officials, labor leaders, policy makers, transit advocates and the public an unprecedented opportunity to share their perspectives on and discuss potential solutions to California’s current transit funding crisis.

Metro CEO Arthur Leahy and Richard Katz, Metro and California High Speed Rail Authority board member, will be featured speakers at the event.

Both will be joined by a number of transit professionals including:

  • Curt Pringle, mayor of Anaheim and chairman of the California High-Speed Rail Authority
  • Lucy Dunn, CEO of the Orange County Business Council and California Transportation Commissioner
  • Hasan Ikhrata, CEO of the Southern California Association of Governments
  • Josh Shaw, executive director of the California Transit Association.

The event will span a variety of critical topics including
