Peter Goin, artist Story-telling is an important part of our cultural growth and behavior. The seven energetic images selected for this series were produced by a photogram process and tell stories that reflect the idea of journeys, passages, memories and thresholds that define our lives. “The photogram is a photographer’s theater. The process involves laying objects on light sensitive paper, exposing the paper to light, and developing the paper through normal chemical processes. Rarely has the photogram been use to tell a story. These photograms are based upon the narrative format.” PETER GOIN lives in Reno,Nevada. His artwork has been published in various books including “Black Rock” (University of Nevada Press) , co-authored with Paul F. Starrs and “Atomic Culture: How We Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb” (University Press). He has exhibited his works internationally. Goin received a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts from Hamline University.
