These community-based councils offer:
Greater Community Involvement: Regionalized outreach gives residents more opportunities for direct input into service issues in their communities.
Improved Service: Local service evaluation to better understand riders' needs and recommend the appropriate response.
Regional Perspective: Advise on planning and implementation of service within their area; call and conduct public hearings; evaluate Metro bus programs related to their service area; review proposed service changes; make policy recommendations to the Metro Board; participate in annual meetings with the Metro Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Deputy CEO and other appropriate management staff.
