Like any large complex organization, Metro generates a large number of reports, studies, papers, assessments, and other publications, both printed and digital.

The Dorothy Peyton Gray Transportation Library's collection on Scribd provides easy access to many of our most popular and heavily-requested documents, regardless of their original format.  Scribd is the largest social publishing company in the world – a user-generated collection where millions of people each month discover and share original writings and documents.

We benefit from many aspects of a web-hosted documents storage system.  The user can access information stored in formats such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint without having that software on their desktop.  Scribd allows users to flips pages, change slides, or review spreadsheets with ease.  Scribd also allows contributors to upload richly formatted text, so documents preserve the font effects and graphics as they were intended to be viewed.  Scribd allows contributors to gather statistics about how often (but not by whom) particular documents are being used.  This information helps us anticipate customer needs and provide a better user experience when accessing information online.

Our vision is to provide the best quality information in the easiest possible way.  Scribd is helping us create a positive experience on both the web and mobile platforms as we continue to offer digitized documents available anytime, anywhere.
