Small Business Enterprise (SBE)

Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program

Metro has established a Small Business Enterprise Program (SBE) designed for emerging businesses. The SBE Program is race and gender-neutral in compliance with the requirements of Proposition 209 and geared to increase small business accessibility to negotiated Metro contracts funded exclusively with local or state dollars.

It is the policy of Metro and PTSC to provide equal opportunity in procurement and contracting actions to each bidder, offeror or proposer in connection with their projects. No person or business shall be discriminated against in any Metro procurement or contracting action because of race, color, ancestry, religious creed, national origin, physical disability (including HIV and AIDS), mental disability, medical condition (including cancer), age (over 40), marital status, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable federal or state laws.
