JENNY HOLZER uses methods and structures derived form mass media, sneaking provocative messages into public places. She is best known for poignant "one liners" that challenge the casual viewer. Holzer was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, but now lives and works in Hoosick, New York. She has exhibited at some of the most prestigious museums and events in the world, including the Dia Art Foundation, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, la Biennale di Venezia, and Walker Art Center.
